Hello.

Welcome. I'm Nicole Glynn, and this is my portfolio. I am a fourth year graphic design student at Chester College. I will graduate in May of 2009 with a BA in graphic design.

News and Such

I made a blog. Check it out:Snapdragon(blog). Also, tat work I had up in the NHCC show, it won an award. "Best of Student", go me.

I've got work up in the New Hampshire Creative Club's annual juried exhibition. I also added a few pieces, not really new, but new to my portfolio, just a couple things I forgot to add when I actually did them.

Who I Am

I am an artist at heart, born and raised in southeastern massachusetts - land of haunted swamps and prison for crazies - and one of many to migrate north to the wonderful state of new hampshire. I have lived in southern new hampshire for the last 3 years, since I started attending Chester College.

When I'm not focused on graphic design, or my schoolwork, I paint, draw, sculpt, write, and have recently gotten into making and altering books. I am a rabid fan of Pearl Jam, 60's rock, Harley Davidson, good chocolate, and dinosaurs - especially Creighton-style raptors, innacurate as they may be.

And What I Can Do

I can create. My chosen tools are Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, my trusty Bamboo Fun tablet, and good old fashion things like paper, pens, pencils, and india ink. I also fancy html and css, and although I can use Dreamweaver, I prefer not to.

In addition to my chosen methods of creation, I'm familiar with Final Cut Pro (though I'd like to be more familiar with it), wordpress theme construction, and Quark (as in, I hate it, but I can use it if I have to.)

Of course, I can also operate those nifty office-type apps such as iWork and Microsoft Office, and can use both macs (which I prefer) and pc's (which I despise).
